ISO/IEC 17025:2017is an international standard that is followed by complaint laboratories performing calibration procedures, laboratory testing and laboratory sampling. The purpose of the standard is to ensure the laboratory has developed a quality system and quality manual that is used throughout the laboratory. The use of the manual, quality system and supporting documentation by the organization ensures all laboratory personnel and managers are following the same testing or sampling procedures.
ECS is currently accredited to ISO/IEC:17025:2017 for pipette calibration services. Whether our clients are in need of calibration services at their lab or mail-in their equipment to the ECS lab, our pipette service is ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited. Our scope of accreditation covers pipette volumes from as small as .5uL to 10000 uL. Our diligence to validate our calibration procedure has allowed us to accredit reports for both 5 readings per channel and 10 readings per channel.
When laboratories pursue accreditation, they are allowing third party independent organizations to audit the laboratories process, documentation procedures and overall compliance. This accreditation process allows clients to trust the laboratories ability to perform the necessary services and reaffirms the laboratories competence for a given service. ECS Metrology has developed our management and technical system to adhere to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. With the implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017compliant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), calibration equipment, documentation and proficiency testing, our clients are assured their equipment is calibrated to the highest degree of accuracy and professionalism.
The ECS management system is periodically audited to ensure continual compliance. Auditing assists ECS in finding areas in our business and calibration services that are in need of improvements and supports our efforts to supply our customers with the most accurate and precise results year after year.
